A reputable mid-sized nursing home in Bedford, specialising in elderly and dementia care, is seeking a skilled Nursing Home Manager to lead and manage the home. With a “Good” CQC rating, this well-established home prides itself on delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will manage and lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of excellent care standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified nurse with a valid NMC PIN, ideally with prior managerial experience. Strong Deputy Managers looking to progress into a leadership role are also encouraged to apply.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the care team, fostering a positive and professional culture
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, policies, and all relevant legislation
  • Oversee care delivery for residents, with a focus on high-quality dementia and elderly care
  • Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and training to meet operational needs
  • Monitor and maintain budgets, resources, and stock levels efficiently
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and resident experience
  • Report on performance, quality, and compliance to owners and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified nurse with a valid NMC PIN
  • Experience in a managerial or senior nursing role preferred (Deputy Managers with leadership potential will be considered)
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
